Aguero has given the football world a major concern after fainting during the half-time interval of Argentina's friendly match against Nigeria.
The Manchester City all time scorer scored in the 4-2 defeat to Nigeria at Krasnodar's Stadium in Russia but failed to come out for the second half due to dizziness.
The Argentine Football
Association said on its Twitter account that the Manchester City forward
'had a blackout and was rushed to hospital so routine examinations
were made only as a precaution.'
Argentina manager Jorge Sampaoli confirmed the situation on the federation
website, stating: 'Sergio (Aguero) got dizzy and had to leave at
half-time.'
The player has since returned to the team hotel with the rest of the squad.
Manchester
City later released a statement to confirm the forward was given the
all clear to travel back to the UK, where he will be assessed ahead of
the Premier League clash with Leicester City at the weekend.
Sergio
Aguero has been cleared by doctors to return to Manchester as planned
after suffering a dizzy spell during Argentina’s 4-2 defeat by Nigeria
in Krasnodar today,' it read.
'Sergio
never lost consciousness, and was taken to hospital for precautionary
medical checks. He will be assessed by the club’s medical team ahead of
this weekend’s Premier League trip to Leicester City.'
Aguero's first-half strike had helped his side into a 2-0 lead, but that advantage never lasted as Super Eagles of Nigeria came from behind to win the friendly game.
