Conte’s arrival last season was greeted with great joy, not only by Chelsea supporters, but by fans of the EPL. His arrival added to the number of high profile managers who would be plying their trade In the English premier league for the 2016/2017 season. Having experienced huge success in his time at Juventus, leading the Old Lady to three consecutive Serie A titles before taking charge of the Italy men’s National team, AntonioConte was joining Chelsea a winner.

His appointment was after the sacking of Jose Mourinho, who had led the club to a misery 10th place finish. Being no stranger to success, his immediate task was to bring Chelsea back to where there belonged. In the top four. The 48 year old wasn’t at all fazed by the challenge as he guided Chelsea football club to the league title that same season. Making him the fourth ever manager in the English Premier League to win the title in their debut season. He also won the manager of the season.

This season has not started very nicely for the Italian as Chelsea have had varying talking points on and off the field. Inside reports also claimed that the 48 year old Chelsea Manager was disgruntled with life in London. 

Conte haven silently questioned the management of the club, Chelsea owner Roman Abramovic has decided to look for a replacement for the boss who signed a two year contract extension till 2021, after leading the club to the Premier league title. This as claimed by Marca, is partly due to the clubs poor start to the season. The Spanish newspaper also claims that Abramovic has decided to sack Antonio Conte at the end of the season, as their relationship has deteriorated in recent times. They also report that all communication between Conte and the Russian owner are being passed through director Marina Granovskaia.
