SEE NIGERIA'S CURRENT FIFA RANKING EVEN AFTER BEATING ARGENTINA

On the eve of the friendly match victory against Argentina, Nigerians were ecstatic. Hailing there Heroes, with Alexis Iwobi and Kelechi Iheanacho among others particularly impressing.
Winning an Argentine side that only lacked Lionel Messi in its line-up, boasting players like Aguero (though he didn't finish the game), Ever Banega, Paulo Dyabala, Di Maria by a four goals to two is no small feat.

Despite the results, in the Current Fifa Rankings released today, 23rd November 2017, Nigeria's ranking has no positive trajectory. Rather it took a downward spin.

Nigeria has fallen to 50th in the rankings. Below countries like Greece, Bolivia, Morocco and even Cameroon.
