Conte Angry With Chelsea Board
Reports say Chelsea manager, Antonio Conte is blaming the club board following Alvaro Morata's hamstring injury which brought to the front burner, the Italian's lacking attack.
24- year old Morata has scored seven goals for Chelsea, a confident proof that he has adjusted really well to the tough nature of the Premier League. Aside suffering a 1-0 defeat to Manchester City, the former Real Madrid striker suffered a hamstring injury last Saturday.
The Spanish international has pulled out of international duty with Spain and is now more concerned about regaining fitness ahead of Chelsea's away game to Crystal Palace come October 14th.
The Times reported that Conte believes the governing body of Chelsea did not sign a replacement to Morata in the summer in a calculated attempt to sign Swansea's Fernando Llorente.
Conte wanted Llorente in the January transfer window but he lost Tottenham, leaving the Premier League champions momentarily crippled in a hunt for an alternative striker.
The Times also reported that Antonio Conte is also angry that Nigerian attacker Tammy Abraham was loaned to Swansea City without due replacement.
Conte also believes that the Belgian front man, Michy Batshuayi is no match for Morata, if he is to stand in against Crystal Palace.
Willian replaced Morata when he suffered his injury in the first half against Manchester City. Batshuayi was only called in to replace Tiemoue Bakayoko at the last minutes of the match.
