Arsenal Hires Raul Sanllehi

 Raul Sanllehi joins Arsenal, Just a week after the club appointed Sven Mislintat as the new Head of Recruitment, and Raul as the Head of Football Relations.

Sanllehi spent 14 years with Barcelona, nine as the Director of Football, he will resume work in February, Sanllehi worked for Nike before joining Barcelona.

In his role, Sanllehi will, “lead future player negotiations and work alongside manager Arsene Wenger, chief executive Ivan Gazidis, and contract negotiator Huss Fahmy,” according to the official release, and “represent and support the club with international and domestic governing bodies.”

The hiring of Sanllehi and Sven Mislintat will no doubt limit Wenger control over football operations. They’re adding another well-regarded, experienced person, Sanllehi was crucial in sealing Neymar's transfer for Barcelona from Santos in 2013, with Wenger, Mislintat and Sanllehi working together Arsenal will be a force in a force in the market again.
